On February 24, 2023, Mr. Xu Yiqing, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Kunming High-tech Zone, led a delegation to visit Shanghai Zerun Biotechnology Co., Ltd. Mr. Zhang Wei, Director of Economic Development Department of Kunming High-tech Zone, Mr. Zhang Jiankang, President of Shanghai Zerun, and Dr. Zhou Chenliang, Executive Vice President of Shanghai Zerun, attended the meeting. The two sides have conducted research and discussion on talent exchange, technical cooperation, especially how to build and operate the newly established Yunnan Vaccine Laboratory.

First of all, Mr. Zhang Jiankang expressed his warm welcome to the leaders of Kunming High-tech Zone, thanked Kunming High-tech Zone for the strong support to the completion of the new headquarters of Zerun’s parent company, Walvax Biotechnology, and introduced the development history, current situation and future development plan of Shanghai Zerun. As a holding subsidiary of Walvax Biotechnology Group, Shanghai Zerun will definitely follow the unified arrangement of the headquarters and make our due contribution to the establishment, operation and effective output of Yunnan vaccine laboratory.

Mr. Xu Yiqing, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the High-tech Zone, expressed his gratitude to the leaders of Shanghai Zerun for the warm welcome, affirmed the achievements of Shanghai Zerun as one of the R&D centers of Walvax Biotechnology, and highly recognized the talent echelon construction and operation management of Shanghai Zerun. Mr. Xu looked forward to the future cooperation in talent exchange and laboratory construction to promote the project.

After the discussion, the leaders of high-tech zone, accompanied by Mr. Zhang Jiankang, CEO of Zerun, visited the laboratory to further understand the R&D team and scientific research situation of the company.
